A DPO CALLED NORTH BANK ASSOCIATION OF DISABLED EVIDENCED ITS PAULTRY FARM TO GAMBIA FEDERATION OF THE DISABLED AS SOURCE OF SELF-EMPLOYMENT

In the strive against unemployment of Persons With Disabilities, Pursuant to Article (27) of CRPD where the State Parties have an obligation in ensuring access to Employment to PWDS, the North Bank Association of the Disabled have established a Poultry Farm by raising up hundreds of chickens which reproduce many of its kind within two weeks of the short possible times for marketing. They are reproduced in to chickens and Eggs for sale.

The establishment of this chicken Paultry farm according to the DPO chairperson called Salifu Bayo it serves as self-employment and as source of good income for PWDS in the North Bank Region thereby not relying on or waiting for the Government or other employers for employment.
Of course, having seen such a magnanimous and amazing source of income by the Federation, the federation expressed delight of the initiative put forward by the North Bank Association Of Disabled and the Chairman of the federation magistrate krubally promised the DPO that other DPOS too will be encouraged to emulate the same innovation.
Attached to this fact will be followed by pictures of the chickens found in the paultry firm upon the visit by the federation.
