CHAIRMAN OF GAMBIA FEDERATION OF THE DISABLED APPEARED ON Q TV TO SENSITISE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES THE IMPORTANCE OF WEARING FACEMASKS

Following one of the guidelines of World Health Organization, Other International Health Authorities and locally, Ministry Of Health Of The Gambia that cautioned the wearing of Facemasks to prevent oneself from contracting Coronavirus and by extension, the imposition of Emergency Power Regulation decleared by the President Of The Republic Of The Gambia, Adama Barrow that, wearing of Facemasks is strict and mandatory for all, contrary to which by anyone shall be arrested and face prosecution attracts penalty to a fine of D5000 Dalasis in default to either serve 21 days in prison or serve same in community service at the public or market area.

This prompted the Chairman of the Gambia Federation Of The Disabled, Magistrate Krubally to appear on Q Tv in order to better encourage Persons With Disabilities to continue wearing facemasks to prevent themselves from contracting the coronavirus and to exempt themselves from arrest and prosecution before a court of law.
The appearance of Magistrate Krubally On Q-TV forms part of advocacy of the federation to create more awareness-raising to the public and for Persons With Disabilities in order to change the narratives. In doing so, Magistrate Krubally appealed to the Gambia Government, Non Governmental Organisation, Individuals and other authorities to come to the aid of Persons With Disabilities by providing more facemasks, Food materials and effect Cash Transfers for Persons With Disabilities in order to better their lives.
Magistrate Krubally as the Chairman of the Federation revealed other plans and activities for the federation on behalf of PWDS in the nearer future subject to the availability of resources at the disposal of the federation.
