RELIGIOUS SCHOLAR EXTENDED HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT TO GAMBIA FEDERATION OF DISABLED

As all out wars and strict measures are continuously taking by Governments, Non Governmental Organisations and other relevant Authorities to defeat Covid19 as the world’s most current enemy, today Thursday the 16th April 2020, one Woman who is also a Religious Sympathiser individually extended personal interest and humanitarian support to Persons With Disabilities

The humanitarian support by this woman was in the form of food items such as Ten Bags of rice, 27 1.5 Litters of Cooking Oil, 12 Tomato Paste and Two Bags of Onions. This Woman extended this support to the Federation through a Religious Scholar of one of the biggest Mosques called Imam Saikou Joof of Pipeline Mosque. According to the Imam, this Woman in fact did not want her name to be disclosed for giving out this gesture. She wanted to be anonymous in the circumstance.
At this deliberation, Chairman of GFD Magistrate Muhammed Krubally expressed appreciation of the food items and said same will indeed enhance the lives of PWDS in terms of survival in the light of current crises.
He urged and still called on governments and all those who have the ability to keep supporting Persons With Disabilities in all manner.
