World Disability Summit of the United Kingdom, July 2018 At Queen Elizabeth Park in London

The Department for International Development (DFID) in disability inclusion has a vision :

"To ensure people with disabilities inclusion in international development and humanitarian assistance".
To galvanize the global effort to include disability in the world’s poorest countries and to serve as a starting point for major changes on this neglected issue, several objective goals were addressed at the World Disability Summit of 24 July 25, 2018 at Queen Elizabeth Park in London.
These goals are !
attract global attention on a neglected area ;
bring new ideas and approaches to broaden engagement ;
mobilize new global and national commitments on disability ;
introduce best practices and evidence from around the world.
At the end of this summit, a charter of change was signed by all the states. The highlights of this charter are summarized in 10 points :
1. Catalyze political will and leadership to transform our promises into change ; in long-term plans we invest, implement and review.
2. Promote the leadership and diverse representation of all persons with disabilities to be at the center of change ; as leaders, partners and advocates. This includes active participation and close consultation of people with disabilities of all ages.
3. Eliminate stigma and discrimination through laws and policies that make a difference, that promote meaningful leadership, and that constantly challenge harmful attitudes and practices. All people deserve dignity and respect.
4. Advance and support actions that promote quality inclusive education for people with disabilities, with the resources to put the plans into practice : every child has the right to learn from birth.
5. Open for economic empowerment and financial inclusion so that people with disabilities can benefit from decent work and financial independence. This will mean creating more and better jobs, offering social protection, providing the necessary training, making workplaces accessible and hiring people with disabilities.
6. Revolutionize the availability and accessibility of appropriate assistive technologies, including digital, that will enable people with disabilities to participate fully and contribute to society.
7. Change practices to make all humanitarian action fully inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities. We will mainstream inclusion in all areas of disaster risk reduction and humanitarian aid and implement our commitments in the Charter "Inclusion of people with disabilities in humanitarian action"
8. "Leave no one behind" and put the most back first. We will defend the rights of the most underrepresented and marginalized people of all ages, affected by all forms of multiple discrimination, including women and girls with disabilities.
9. Collect and use better evidence and data to understand and address the magnitude and nature of the challenges faced by people with disabilities, using proven tools, including the Washington Group’s disability-related sets of questions.
10. Inform us and others for the promises we made here today. We agree that our individual commitments will be reviewed, evaluated and published regularly and that the results will be published online.
