LOCAL INITIATIVE FOR TOTAL SUCCESS PRESENTED FOOD ITEMS TO GAMBIA FEDERATION OF DISABLED
On Wednesday 16 April 2020, Gambia Federation of Disabled received food items from a registered Association called Local Initiative for Total Success. The food items such as Rice, Cooking Oil, Onion are to be presented to Persons With Disabilities particularly those who are unemployed and depend on begging in the street.
In light of the prevalent pandemic/Covid19, the world over are experiencing serious restriction of movement and stay at home. In light of the foregoing, The Federation of disabled did not only receive sanitary materials from other donours. This time around, the federation of the disabled received food items in order to sustain and support the survival of persons with disabilities.
At this presentation, the President of Local Initiative for Total Success Doctor Demba K Darboe said Persons with disabilities are part of society and the association feels it necessary to support their survival.
Chairman of The Federation, Magistrate Muhammed Krubally delivered a vote of thanks and appretiation of the food items on behalf of persons with disabilities. He appealed to Government, NGOS, Individuals and other relevant authorities to emulate the gigantic gesture of Local Initiative for Total Success to the federation in support against Codiv19.
