The president of the Republic,head of state HE Issoufou Mahamadou received this Wednesday, January 29,2020 at the end of the morning,Ms.Ana Lucia Arellano,president of the international disabilities Alliance,a group of several global and regional organisations from persons with disabilities around the world who work to advance the human rights of persons with disabilities by building on the United Nations convention on the rights of persons with disabilities CRPD.
Accompanied by the president of the African Disabilities Forum (ADF), the Nigérien Alzouma Maiga Idriss,the president of the international disabilities Alliance said she was satisfied with the discussions she had with the president Issoufou Mahamadou,« i left confident that Niger is promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, thanks in particular to the recent adoption of a law on the subject » she told the press.
Ms.Ana Lucia Arellano also welcomed the fact that the head of the state of Niger assured her of working in concert with her association to assert the rights of persons with disabilities but also for having accepted to be the Ambassador of the Alliance to his African Presidents.
