Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone Donated Food Stuff to Persons with Disabilities.

Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone (Mrs. Fatima Bio) Donated Food Stuff to Persons with Disabilities in Kono District.

The Corona Virus is one of the most fearful viruses in the world. Since it came into the world, it has interrupted many developments and reduced the movement of people from one country to another. The negative effects of the virus have increased so much that Persons with Disabilities that have been moving within towns and cities to search for their living have either reduced or stopped.
As a mother of the “Land that we Love”, Sierra Leone, the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone has a project nationwide to give food stuff to people (National Food Basket). The Office of the First Lady of Sierra Leone is a separate office that is handled by the First Lady and she has been championing many issues that have affected vulnerable people in Sierra Leone.
As a mother that has passionate heart for vulnerable people especially Persons with Disabilities, when donating food stuff to people around the country, she donated food stuff to Persons with Disabilities in Kono.
On the 16th of May, 2020, the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone gave food stuff to the Sierra Leone Union on Disability Issues, Kono Branch, Sierra Leone Association of the Blind, Kono Branch and Polio Victims Association, kono Branch. Upon receiving the donations, representatives of these organizations said the food stuff came at the right time as most of their colleagues finding it very difficult to have basic food as compare to before the Corona Virus came.
