SIGHTBOX DONATED SEVEN LAPTOPS TO A VISUALLY IMPAIRED ORGANISATION

On Friday 13th March 2020, a charitable organization called Sightbox donated 7 seven laptops to a Visually Impaired Organisation called Start Now. The said laptops are donated with the objective of supporting the capacity building of Visually Impaired in terms of Education, Employment, Training and Independent livingiving. It is widely recognised that laptop as an important equipment that serves as one of the solutions for the success of Visually Impaired Persons no matter which field they wish to explore

At this presentation, the Founder and Executive Director of Start Now and the 2019 Holman Price Winner called Mr Alieu Jaiteh expressed appreciation of the laptops donated by Sightbox and said such equipment will support the Visually Impaired in a long way in achieving their career. He called on other partners to emulate Sightbos for the initiative.’Other representatives from the rest of the institutions like the Principal Education Officer of Special Needs Units, called Anna Nancy Mendy, Director of Lottery Club and Chairman of Gambia Federation of the Disabled Magistrate Muhammed Krubally all expressed similar sentiments in appreciating the gesture of Sightbox with laptops to Start Now.
To conclude, readers herein are informed that, Start Now is a Visually Impaired Organisation that is established to provide and support Visually Impaired Persons with technology such as the use of laptops, White Cane, Use of Smat Phone and Scanners in order to live independently. Today, Start Now has indeed trained hundreds of visually impaired persons with technologies and they are happy today to live the life they want.
