Togo : FETAPH informed on the implementation of its partner organizations 2020 action plans.

As part of the implementation of its 2020 action plan relating to the program to support the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities funded by the Liliane Foundation, FETAPH organized from June 29 to July 2, 2020 a monitoring mission partner organizations and visiting organizations for children / young people with disabilities supported by them.

This mission enabled FETAPH to exchange views with each partner organization in Lomé ; of Atakpamé and Agou on the implementation of the activities of its 2020 action plan and the support it provides to children / young people with disabilities in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic. It also made it possible to visit and talk to disabled children / youth supported by these partner organizations. Discussions with them focus on their daily experiences in this time of COVID 19 and their appreciation of the support they have received from partner organizations.

For this first step, the mission made it possible to reach five partner organizations involved in the implementation of the program this year, in the different localities where they are based (Lomé ; Atakpamé and Agou) and ten children / young people with disabilities and their families. FETAPH is better informed about the support these organizations provide to children / young people with disabilities and their families in this time of COVID 19 and has provided the necessary advisory support. Ten children / young people with disabilities were visited and discussions took place with them and their families on their daily experience and their appreciation of the support received.
