UNTF launched its Call for Proposals for Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa regions as part of the Spotlight Initiative

The United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence against Women is accepting applications from civil society organizations for 3-year grants to address violence against women and girls in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa as part of the Spotlight Initiative. Civil society organizations are invited to submit grant proposals for a minimum of US$50,000 up to a maximum of US$1 million for a period of three years. The application deadline is 31 July 2019.

The UN Trust Fund is launching the Call for Proposals to address violence against women and girls in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa to contribute specifically to the achievement of results under Outcome 6 of the Spotlight Initiative and, more broadly, to its Theory of Change.

The Call for Proposals is available in English, French and Spanish and open to applicants in target countries in the following categories :

Latin America : Single Country Project Proposals from Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico
Sub-Saharan Africa : Single Country Project Proposals from Cameroon, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe
Multi-Country Project Proposals from all other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa
: Countries under category 2 are not eligible for multi-country project proposals.
Applications from women’s rights, women-led, and small women’s organizations are prioritized, in recognition of them being the driving force of the ending violence against women agenda, as well as being at the forefront of reaching women and girls survivors at the grassroots level.

The complete Call for Proposals detailing criteria, eligibility requirements and application guidelines is available at : http://untf.unwomen.org/en or via the UN Women homepage.
