Gambia Red Cross Society comes to the aid of Gambia Federation of Disabled to help fight the pandemic Disease

On Wednesday 1st April 2020, The Gambia Red Cross Society donated sanitary materials to the joined in the crusade to fight against Covid 19 pandemic by donating sanitary materials to the federation of Disabled in the Gambia. The presentation was done at the Red Cross complex in the presence of media houses.

The chairperson of Gambia Federation of Disabled, Magistrate Muhammed Krubally, on behalf of the Disabled community welcomed the benovolent gesture and expressed delight. He further urged other stakeholders to emulate the Gambia Red Cross Society to join the Disabled community in the fight against Covid 19 pandemic. As persons with Disabilities are the most vulnerable in Society and looking at the present situation in the country, movements of people are restricted, it will be difficult for people to have access to basic necessities.
The secretary general of the Red Cross Society, Alhassan Senghore, emphasized their support and willingness to work with the Disabled community and also urged the relevant stakeholders to Join the crusade.
